Normand L. St. Laurent
January 2, 1941 - January 7, 2007
LEWISTON - Normand L. St. Laurent, 66, a prominent area businessman died Sunday evening at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Lewiston on January 2, 1941 the son of Willie and Doria (Roy) St. Laurent. He attended St. Dominic's High School, and then entered the United States Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged.On September 29th, 1962, he married the former Jeannette Grondin at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. He was the owner/operator of the family business, St. Laurent & Son Excavation, Inc.Previously, he owned Norm's Transmission Service from 1960-1971, and Norm's Tulsa and Service Station from 1970-1974 He had a great love for his family, especially his grandchildren, and was an avid Maineac's hockey fan who was a proud season ticket holder. He enjoyed playing cards, and was a life long animal lover. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church and was a a member of the ACME Club where he liked to socialize with many friends. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette of Lewiston, three sons, Rick N. St. Laurent and his wife, Kimberly and their children, Nicole, and Aubrey of Huntington Beach, CA; Gary R. St. Laurent and his wife, Doreen and their children, Jill,. Mikaela, and Nathan of Lewiston; Randy M. St. Laurent and his wife, Jennifer and their children, Julia, and Benjamin of Lewiston. Two sisters, Jeannine Houdlette and her husband, Erwin of Gardiner; Jeannette Marquis of Greene. A special sister in law, Doris Welding, and also a special friend, Vicki Camire. He was predeceased by his parents and one granddaughter, Taylor St. Laurent in 1997, as well as a very special niece, Dawn Marie Welding in 1993. ST. LAURENT died in Lewiston, January 7, 2007, Mr. Normand L. St. Laurent age 66 years a resident of Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held SATURDAY 11:00AM Holy Cross Church with Father Lionel Choinard celebrating. Burial family lot St. Peter's Cemetery.
