Norman J. Verrill
January 9, 1935 - November 15, 2006
Norman J. Verrill, 71, of Lewiston passed away on November 15th at Central Maine Medical Center. He was born on January 9, 1935 in Portland, Maine, the son of Carrolous and Ethel Verrill. He attended Mechanic Falls High School before serving in the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a life time chef from various locations in the United States and for NATO in Israel, as well as having owned a restaurant in Yuma, Arizona. He was married to the late Eleanor Greenlaw Verrill. He was a member of the Pathway Community Church.He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Haley, son Norman J. Verrill, Jr. and wife Linda, grandchildren Justin Verrill, Matthew Potratz, Trevor Haley, Kimberly Verrill, Lillian Verrill and Edith Morin. Other survivors include his brother, Carrolous Verrill, Jr., and wife Ginnie of Shapleigh, sisters Ruth Herrick and husband Wilmont of Mechanic Falls, Elizabeth Grant and husband Gerald of Oxford, Carolyn Fickes and husband Richard of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. NOTICEVERRILL �Norman J., 71, of Lewiston passed away on November 15th at CMMC. Funeral services will be held on TUESDAY at 10:00 am from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son.Pastor Mary Beth Caffey will be officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Gloucester Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Dillingham & Son.
