Mildred A. Lothrop

FREEPORT- Mildred “Millie” A. Lothrop, 98, of 10 Guptill Avenue in Freeport died peacefully on Friday September 28, 2012 at the Freeport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of Edward L. Sr. and Susie M. (Abbott) Lothrop and had been a resident of Auburn while growing up. She graduated From Edward Little High School in the Class of 1931. She worked several years in Freeport at L.L. Beans, department stores in Lewiston including Sears Roebuck where she was the longest and last place before her retirement. Millie loved birds and animals. They never went hungry when she was around and could feed them. She had the opportunity to travel many years which she enjoyed. She also lived in Florida and Oklahoma. She was a member of the Sixth Street Congregational Church in Auburn. She is survived by a sister Inez Davis of Freeport; a nephew Linwood Lothrop and his wife Joyce of Oklahoma; two nieces Jean Berger of Connecticut and Laurie Litke of Livermore; three grandnieces Jessica Lothrop of Oklahoma, Bethany Pepe of Connecticut and Bonnie Berger of Connecticut; and two grandnephews Justin Lothrop of Oklahoma and Kenney Berger of Connecticut. She was predeceased by three brothers Gus, Albert and Eddie; and a nephew Gary Davis. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.lynchbrothers.com . Funeral services honoring Midred’s life will be celebrated on Saturday at 11AM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son. Committal prayers will then follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9-11AM prior to the service at Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel 62 Spring Street Auburn, Maine 784-6449.
