Michel Ouellette

October 5, 1957 - October 15, 2015

Washington D.C.- Michel Ouellette, age 58, died peacefully on Thursday, October 15th, at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. after a brief illness. He was born on October 5th, 1957, and was the son of Grover and Jane Ouellette of Lewiston, Maine. Michel grew up in Lewiston and attended and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1975. After graduation, he joined the US Coast Guard and was sent to Cape May, NJ for basic training. After training, he was stationed on a Coast Guard Cutter at Port Clyde Maine. His next assignment involved serving a year on Adak Island in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. In 1980, he was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard and soon applied for service in the Central Intelligence Agency. He was selected to serve in that capacity for 30 years and retired from the agency in June 15, 2013. As a member of the CIA, Michel traveled to many parts of the world and for a time lived in Greece, Germany and England. Michel was predeceased by his mother Jane. He is survived by his loving wife, Nadia Ouellette, his father, Grover (Bud), of Lewiston, Maine; a son Christopher Ouellette of Sterling Virginia; a daughter Jessica Hamann and her husband Shane Hamann and their daughter Addison of Mississippi; his step daughters Maria, Ghizlaine, and Melissa Mallek and step grand daughter Chloe Brady. His sister Jean Langer and her children Ayla and Palidon of Wisconsin; his sister Gayle Rendina and her husband Jerry Rendina and their children Molly and Ryan of Florida; Michel loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed photography, history, politics, music and good food. He also loved visiting and touring his home state of Maine driving the country roads in his sports car. Michel is remembered as a loving father, son, and husband and will be sadly missed by all who loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Michel’s life will be celebrated WEDNESDAY October 28th 11:00AM at Holy Family Church. Burial with full military honors will be held later in the Spring at Arlington National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday October 27th from 4-7PM at the PINETTE DILLINGHAM & LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, 784-4023
