Marcheta D. Sawyer
November 6, 1938 - February 13, 2016
AUBURN- Marcheta D. “Keeta” Sawyer, 77, of Norway, Maine left us too soon on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on November 6, 1938 the daughter of Grace Varney. Known and loved by so many. We know her as Mom, Grammy, Wife, Friend, or that friendly talkative and crazy sarcastic stranger soon to be your friend. However you experienced her spirit in this life, you probably will never forget her. She loved the beach, especially the summers spent at Old Orchard Beach. Something about the ocean, sun and sand while gathering with friends and family made up her perfect combination of happiness. Without them even knowing, she brought people together. Whether it was a week at the beach, a night playing cards, or simply watching football or a movie, we learned how to tell jokes, play pranks on each other, laugh, love and live life through her amazing sense of humor and love of life and love of family. She is survived by her husband Philip N. Sawyer of Norway; her children Shawn and Claire Sawyer of Mechanic Falls, Scott and Jolene Sayer of Northport, Fl., Shea and Tim Blake of Rumford, Shanna LaCombe of Standish and Stacey Sawyer of Poland. She was predeceased by her mother Grace Varney of Auburn; and a sister Gloria Wilkinson of Auburn. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.lynchbrothers.com .
