Emersyn E. Rowles
February 8, 2006 - April 19, 2022
LEWISTON, MAINE- Resting peacefully in her mother’s arms and surrounded by her family, Emersyn Elizabeth Rowles, self-named “Emmy,” left her earthly body to find rest in the arms of our Savior on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 after a life-long battle with Ataxia-Telangiectasia (AT) and nearly three-year battle with leukemia. Since her birth February 8, 2006, Emmy shined rays of light for all the world to see. A sophomore at Lewiston High School, Emmy was an adventurer, loved laughing, she gave everything she had to others (but don’t try to snuggle her in bed), and she was a warrior every day of her life. She had a special fondness for horses, her doggies Sammy and Sage, the color pink, all kinds of music, cheesecake, and through it all, her smile was contagious. She was the greatest Clue player, Fibber extraordinaire, and the girl could win a game of war with her eyes closed. She loved roller coasters and the Pirate Ship, the freedom of floating in the swimming pool or at the beach, and rocking out to “Shut Up and Dance With Me”. Oh, did we mention that she loved to boogie? In the winter, Emmy worked diligently on building snowmen and making snow angels and screamed the loudest when sledding! She was a Special Olympian, an esteemed judge at the annual Family Reunion Rib Cookoff and she enjoyed trips to the movie theater to watch the latest releases. Emmy was loved by so many amazing friends who she celebrated the triumphs and milestones of life with, who were always genuine, kind, compassionate and tender with her. With her siblings, she enjoyed doing arts & crafts, playing lots of board games, snuggling on the couch watching Sponge Bob, playing dress up, and taking long walks on nature trails. Emmy is survived by her mother and step father, Brittany and Eron Parker; her father and step mother, Eric and Anne Rowles and her beloved siblings, Avlynn Parker, Grady and Jayne Rowles and step brothers, Jacob and Shey Ajayi. She also leaves behind grandparents Carla and David Verelli, Gregory and Deborah Belinda, Commodore and Brenda Rowles, Cindy Osborne, and Roger Hebert as well as great-grandparents, Dolores Kifer, Commodore and Enna Rowles, Ruth Danvir and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her Uncle, Danny Belinda, great-grandparents, Russell Kifer, Peter and Elizabeth Belinda, and Albert Danvir. Sincere gratitude is extended to the compassionate caregivers in the Lewiston School District, Boston Children’s Hospital and Androscoggin Home Health Care and Hospice for their compassionate and gentle care of our sweet girl. The family invites loved ones to a celebration of life held to honor Emmy’s life and legacy on April 30th, 2022. The event will be held at Vista of Maine Vineyard & Cidery Tasting Room with memorial service between 4-5pm, followed by refreshments. We encourage guests to wear pink, Emmy’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the AT Children’s Project at https://www.atcp.org/emersyns-giving-circle/ Arrangements by the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston, Maine 784-4023.
