Bertrand R. Lauze
August 20, 1916 - November 15, 2006
LEWISTON -- Bertrand R. Lauze, 90, formerly of 51 Rosedale St. died Wednesday November 15, 2006 at St. Marguerite D'Youville Pavilion. He was born in Lewiston August 20, 1916 the son of Philippe and Emma (Simard) Lauze. On June 19, 1939 he married the former Yvette Simard who predeceased him on April 30, 2005. Bert worked at Bates Mill for nearly fifty years as a Slasher retiring in 1981. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, former member of the Sacred Heart League, Holy Cross Parish and also former member of Knights of Columbus Council #106. He is survived by one son Roland Lauze and his wife Constance of Lovell, five daughters;Marguerite Kramer and her husband Frederick of Port Orange, FL, Antoinette Palmer and her husband Stephen of Milford, NH, Bernadette Wailus and her husband Robert of Lewiston Glorianne Defosse and her husband Lionel of Coventry, RI and Elizabeth Pelletier and her husband Roger of Bowdoinham; 14 grandchildren ; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife he is predeceased by one brother Robert Lauze and his wife Alice Lauze and one sister Yvette Lauze. The family would like to thank the staff of both Clover Manor and D'Youville Pavilion for the special and wonderful care they gave to Bert.Lauze -- Bertrand R., 90, formerly of 51 Rosedale St., Lewiston, died in Lewiston Nov. 15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 11 AM at Holy Cross Church. Interment in the family lot at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations can be made in Bertrand memory to one's charity of choice.
