Obituary for Ronald Raubeson

Lewiston -  Ronald  “Jay Jay” Raubeson, got his angel wings on January 12, 2011, and joined his devoted mother soaring with the eagles. Beloved brother, uncle, and friend.  He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Durham. Jay was a kind hearted soft touch loving man who wasn’t afraid to speak his mind and let you know if he didn’t like something. He was a hard worker who enjoyed getting up in the morning to go work at the Social Learning Center in Lewiston. His face would light up when his sister, Blackie or his brother, Yummy would show up. His free time was spent watching cowboy movies amongst his favorite were John Wayne and James Dean. He enjoyed going to dances, bingo, Oxford Plains Speedway, NASCAR, telling Jeff Gordon, “Go Jeff, Go!”. He also loved pretty women. As a protector of the family, the last thing you would want to do in his presence was raise your voice to his sister, Blackie or his niece, Raquel or all hell would break loose. Amongst other things, Jay Jay loved to watch professional wrestling, playing cowboys and Indians, with himself being the sheriff with his six-gun and badge. He especially enjoyed the holidays with his large family. We would also like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Norm and his staff at J.F. Murphy Home who made Jay’s life that much more rewarding. A special thanks also to Holly Bricker. Survivors include four siblings, Roland “Yummy” Raubeson, Richard Raubeson, and wife, Kathleen, Lana “Blackie” Raubeson, Donna Young, and husband, David; nephews, Todd and Aaron Welch, Roland Raubeson, Brent Dillingham, and Mitchell Raubeson; nieces Sonya Raubeson, Alyssa Raubeson, Raquel Dillingham, and 1 grand nephew, Chase Passauer, 2 grand nieces, Chelsea Passauer, and Aaleah Raubeson. Besides his parents Robert P. and Florence Raubeson, Sr., he was predeceased by one brother, Robert P. Raubeson, Jr. Words will never be able to express the loss of our beloved, Jay. His pure heart and true love for all of us will never be forgotten. Online codolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at    RAUBESON died in Lewiston, January 12, 2011, Mr. Ronald "Jay Jay" Raubeson a resident of Minot. Memorial ervices honoring "Jay Jay's " life will be held WEDNESDAY 1:00PM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with Pastor David Garnett presiding.
